2022 Piano Summer Camp

Faculty: EKS Piano Faculty & guest lecturers

This camp is designed for anyone aged 5-16  interested in learning more about piano and music (including beginners with little or no piano experience. ) Unique curriculum will be designed for campers with different levels and skills.

Private Lesson Instruction: Campers / Students will learn how to interpret and understand score through music analysis and hands on technique demonstration. 

Daily Guided Practice Time:  Campers / Students will be given guided practice time to learn how they can have fun practice along while being productive!

Ensemble:  Campers / Students will learn how to play piano (same piano or different pianos) with other pianist and be able to discover the a whole new world of piano ensemble repertoire.

Sight-Reading Skills:  Campers / Students will learn how to sight-read music to expand their repertoire list.

Musicianship Skills:  Campers / Students will learn about music appreciation,  music theory and engage in aural skills. 

Performance Video Production: Age-appropriate campers/students will learn how to prepare, self-document and present  their own performance in video format.

Final Performance: There will be daily performing group class but the final performance will be July 15, 3-4p.m.  Parents are welcome to attend the final performance.

Payment: A non-refundable $75 deposit will be charged to your credit card on file to hold your spot upon registration. Full remaining balance must be submitted on or before May 26 or we will charge the remaining balance to your credit card on file on May 27. Full payment required at registration for any late registration after May 26.  

Refund: There will be no refund after June 4, 2022. 

Vaccination: We encouraged all campers / students to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Unvaccinated campers/student must wear a mask at the camp during the ENTIRE duration.

Food and allergy:  Campers / Students should bring 1-2 peanut-free snacks, lunch and a water bottle daily.  Food and beverages are not allowed to share among campers (even siblings).

We may ask aged-appropriate campers / students to bring in an iPad or handheld electronic device such as smartphone to camp for their own video performance production.
