EKS Music School in Quincy Ensemble Festival

Celebrating Music and Teamwork: Highlights from the 2025 Ensemble Festival

Our 2025 Ensemble Festival was a joyful and meaningful milestone for EKS Music School! Held on May 18 at Christ Church, this event marked our first-ever attempt to bring our young musicians together to collaborate and perform in ensembles — an entirely different skill set from solo playing, and a powerful step in their musical journey.

Over 80 students participated, performing in piano duets, string ensembles, and mixed-instrument groups. Beyond just learning the notes, students discovered what it means to listenrespond, and blend with others — developing rhythm, timing, and teamwork in a real musical setting. For many, it was their first time ever playing in a group, and they rose to the challenge with courage and joy.

We are incredibly proud of our students and deeply grateful to the families who supported them, the dedicated faculty who coached and encouraged them, and Christ Church for not only hosting us but also recording the entire concert so we could share it with our wider community.
