Hello, I am Jenny Lin, a graduating high school senior of the Class of 2026. I’ve been taking piano lessons at EKS Music School for about 7 years. With the guidance of my teacher, Ms. Kuan, I’ve improved my piano skills along with my confidence, persistence, and patience. She often reminded me to enjoy the music rather than just playing it which has helped me be more expressive in my playing. Through recitals, competition, and exams, I gradually overcame stage fright and became more comfortable performing in front of others.
I have deeply valued the EKS community. It is a supportive environment where everyone looks out for one another. I’ve had the opportunity to meet many talented musicians which has allowed me to connect and form friendships and connections, creating lasting memories. During the past few years at EKS, I had the opportunity to participate in piano summer camp as a student counselor, where I worked with younger students, which has made me appreciate the EKS community even more.
As I plan to attend Northeastern University in Boston, where I will be majoring in Finance, I carry with me the lessons and memories from EKS. The skills I’ve developed here will continue to help me grow in the future.
