We are excited to celebrate the incredible achievement of one of our guitar students, Eden Wong! Earlier this year, Eden was awarded a Gold Medal from The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) for earning the highest mark in the Northeast region on his Level 1 RCM guitar exam—an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects his dedication and talent.
As part of this honor, Eden was invited to perform at the 2024 RCM Northeast Celebration of Excellence recital, which took place at the prestigious Mary Flagler Cary Hall at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music in New York City this spring. He performed Andantino, Op. 50, No. 1 by Mauro Giuliani, delivering a beautiful and expressive performance that showcased both musical maturity and technical finesse.
Eden prepared for his exam under the guidance of Dr. Raley Begg, a former faculty member at EKS Music School. He currently continues his guitar studies with Mr. Fred Springer, one of our dedicated and experienced instructors.
We are incredibly proud of Eden’s hard work and artistic growth, and we’re honored to be part of his musical journey. His success is a shining example of what’s possible when passion meets perseverance.
